大和和紀の「あさきゆめみし２」を読んだ感想です

（其の六から其の十までの感想です）

『あさきゆめみし』は、私にとって“境目の漫画”だ。
70年代少女漫画を夢中で読んでいた私が、
少しずつ漫画から離れ始めた80年代に登場した作品。
だから記憶はあるのに、最後まで読んでいない。
今になって読み返すと、当時の私が知らなかった“紫の君の痛み”が、
胸の奥に静かに響いてくる。

大人になった今だからこそ分かる感情がある。
紫の君の痛み。光源氏の身勝手さ。藤壺の孤独。
少女のまま妻にされた重さ。
“当時の自分”と“今の自分”が重なっていく。

🌸紫の君

外で遊びたい子どもの心と、恋する人のそばにいたい少女の心の狭間にいる紫の君。
琴を教えれば砂に水がしみこむように覚える。
源氏は愛する人の面影を重ねながら、理想通りに育てていく。
今は娘のように思っていても、いずれ妻にするつもりで。

🌸源氏の君と“恋するおばば”事件

御所に上がれば、若い女御から六十路のおばばまでお誘いが来る源氏の君。
そこへ忍び込もうとする頭中将を、源氏が「お前も来いよ」と巻き込むから、
案の定、典侍のおばばを中心にシッチャカメッチャカが始まる。
（ここで私の心の声：
「ちょっと待って、二人揃うと完全にアホコメディアンじゃないの😤❣
キャ〜〜私も混ぜて！……ってコラ〜〜aho~‼(-_-メ)」）
頭中将とともに軽い気持ちでからかったつもりが、
翌日そのおばば殿の“本命”が忘れ物を届けに来るというオチ。
からかったつもりが、逆にからかわれていたというわけだ。

🌸藤壺の女御のご懐妊

周囲は祝福ムードだが、当の二人は“罪の子”と苦しむ。
特に藤壺は桐壺帝への裏切りに深く悩む。
試楽で源氏と頭中将が舞う姿は見事で、
その華やかさが弘徽殿女御の憎しみをさらに募らせる。
夢占いでは「光源氏の御子は、後に帝・皇后・太政大臣になる」とのこと。
一方、紫の君はまだ人形遊びが大好きで、大人になりきれない。

🌸葵の君とのすれ違い

葵の君の一言に我を失い、強引に関係を持ってしまう源氏。
本来なら関係修復のきっかけになるはずが、
翌朝逃げるように去ってしまう。
その後、藤壺に若宮が誕生し、藤壺は中宮、源氏は宰相となる。

🌸六の君の禁断の恋

桜の宴に上がった右大臣家の六の君は、好奇心旺盛な姫君。
春宮の女御として入内し、世継ぎを生み、立后する――
そんな“ゲーム”に挑むつもりでいた。
しかし、酔った源氏が藤壺へ忍び込もうとして失敗し、
開いていた弘徽殿の扉から六の君のもとへ……。
ここから禁断の恋が始まる。

🌸六条御息所の苦しみ

新帝の即位で源氏の立場は揺らぎ、
六条御息所も伊勢へ下る決意が揺れている。
葵祭の日、御息所の車が葵の君の車に押し負けたことで、
“正室と日陰の身”の差を思い知らされ、憎しみが募る。
やがて御息所は生霊となって葵の君に取り憑き、
葵の君は弱っていく。
若君は無事生まれ、二人はわかり合えたかに見えたが、
御息所の怨念は消えず、葵の君は命を落とす。

🌸紫の君の結婚

葵の君を失い沈む源氏。
若君を左大臣家に預け、二条の院へ戻る。
大人になった紫の君を見て、源氏は気持ちを抑えきれなくなる。
十五歳の少女にはあまりに急な夫婦関係。
紫の君はショックと憎しみを抱くが、
やがて源氏を許し、「一生わたくし以外の女の方は許しません」と釘を刺す。
……が、源氏はどうしても他の女性に傾いてしまう。
次はどんな恋の遍歴が待っているのか、楽しみでもある。

(Chapters 6–10 Impressions)

“Asaki Yumemishi” is a special manga for me—
a kind of “borderline work” in my reading life.
I was obsessed with 70s shōjo manga, but by the 80s I had slowly drifted away from comics.
So although I remember this series, I never finished it back then.
Reading it again now, I feel a quiet ache in my chest—
the pain of Murasaki no Kimi, which my younger self never understood.
There are emotions you can only grasp as an adult:
Murasaki’s sorrow, Genji’s selfishness, Fujitsubo’s loneliness,
and the heavy fate of a girl forced into marriage too soon.
My “past self” and “present self” overlap as I read.

🌸 Murasaki no Kimi

She stands between childhood—wanting to play outside—and the budding desire to stay close to the one she loves.
She learns the koto as easily as water sinking into sand.
Genji shapes her according to his ideal, projecting the image of the woman he once loved.
For now, he treats her like a daughter… but intends to make her his wife someday.

🌸 Genji & the “Sixty-Year-Old Lady” Incident

Whenever Genji enters the palace, invitations flood in—from young court ladies to women in their sixties.
Head General Tō no Chūjō sneaks in for a secret visit, and Genji drags him along, saying, “Come on, you too.”
Naturally, chaos erupts around the elderly court lady, the famous Mino no Senji.
(And here’s my inner voice:
“Hold on—when these two get together, they turn into a full-on comedy duo!
Let me join the chaos too! …Okay okay, I’ll behave—geez, you two fools!”)
They tease the old lady for fun,
but the next day her actual lover shows up to return the items they “forgot.”
So in the end, the pranksters were the ones being pranked.

🌸 Fujitsubo’s Pregnancy

Everyone celebrates, but the two involved suffer under the weight of their secret.
Fujitsubo feels she has betrayed Emperor Kiritsubo.
During the imperial rehearsal, Genji and Tō no Chūjō dance so beautifully that the entire court is captivated—
which only deepens the resentment of Kokiden.
A dream omen predicts that Genji’s child will become either an emperor, an empress, or a grand minister.
Meanwhile, Murasaki still loves playing with dolls and hasn’t grown up yet.

🌸 The Rift with Aoi no Ue

Aoi’s sharp words push Genji over the edge,
and he forces himself on her—
a moment that should have been a chance for reconciliation,
but he flees the next morning without even sharing breakfast.
Later, Fujitsubo gives birth to a prince, becomes Empress,
and Genji rises to the rank of Chancellor.

🌸 Roku no Kimi’s Forbidden Love

Roku no Kimi, daughter of the Right Minister, is curious and bold.
She dreams of entering the palace, becoming consort to the Crown Prince,
bearing an heir, and rising to Empress—almost like a game.
But a drunken Genji fails to sneak into Fujitsubo’s chambers
and instead slips through an open door into Kokiden’s wing…
where he encounters the beautiful Roku no Kimi.
Thus begins a forbidden romance.

🌸 Rokujō no Miyasudokoro’s Torment

With the new emperor’s accession, Genji’s political winds shift.
Rokujō no Miyasudokoro hesitates to leave for Ise.
At the Aoi Festival, her carriage is pushed aside by Aoi’s,
reminding her painfully that she is only a shadow woman, not the rightful wife.
Her resentment deepens.
Eventually, her jealousy manifests as a living spirit
that clings to Aoi no Ue, draining her strength.
Though Aoi safely gives birth and briefly reconciles with Genji,
the spirit does not forgive—
and Aoi loses her life.

🌸 Murasaki’s Marriage

Genji, grieving Aoi’s death, returns to Nijō after entrusting his son to the Left Minister’s household.
Seeing Murasaki grown into a young woman,
he can no longer restrain his feelings.
But she is only fifteen—still at the age of “being in love with love.”
Their sudden marriage shocks her deeply,
and she resents him at first.
Genji, undeterred, even tries to visit Rokujō again—
despite being newly married!
Rejected at last, he finally ends that relationship.
Murasaki forgives him, but warns:
“I will never allow you to love another woman.”
…Yet Genji is Genji.
He cannot help drifting toward new romances.
I can’t help wondering what kind of love affairs await him next.
